History

2005-06

September 2005, elite basketball makes its way back to Park-Extension. Four AAA teams are formed and ready to battle in the most competitive league Montreal has to offer, the MBL. Success comes quickly with all four teams making it to the playoffs.

With a 54-1 record the bantam team stood-out. Lead by MBL Bantam MVP Kémy Ossé the team captured the MBL Championship beating Brookwood in a game that remained tight until the final buzzer. They then easily won the Provincial championship once again beating Brookwood in the finals. Their only defeat of the year came at the hands of a strong Ontario team in the finals of the Eastern Canadian Championships held in Prince Edward Island.

2006-07

Once again every team makes it to the playoffs; The Midget team makes it all the way to the finals while the Bantam team repeats as MBL champs. Head Coach of the Bantam team, Junior Audate is named Bantam coach of the year by the MBL.

Two of our stars, Kémy Ossé and Kenny Fred Chérie are selected to represent Quebec during the U15 National Championships held in Sherbrook.   They did not disappoint bringing home the gold medal and being named to the tournament all-star team. Frederick Duré and Dylan Lhuillier Chin were selected from the Bantam team to play on the espoir team.

2007-08

During the third year of our young program the Mini and Bantam team both made it to the second round of the playoffs. The Juvenile team made its first appearance in the finals while the midget team won the MBL championship.

After losing in the second round, making the 1st year our bantam team doesn’t win the championship, a fire awoke in the team and they took it out on every team they faced at the Eastern Canadian Championships. Led by tournament MVP Pierre Andre, the very athletic team blew out all who stepped on the court including Dawson in the finals, a team they had not beaten all year.

Another one of our stars, Kenny Fred Chérie, led team Quebec to a U17 National Championship in Prince Edward Island. He took MVP honours at the tournament.

After three seasons of tearing up the MBL guard Kémy Ossé was giving a scholarship to study and play for Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington, a nationally respected prep school in the United States.

2008-09

The PX KNIGHTS come into the season with new colors but the hard work and dedication from the coaching staff, parents and players make for another successful season. The four team end the season with a combined 85-7 record.

Led by the electrifying trio of Kevin Civil (23.8 ppg), Jeremiah Owusu (18 ppg) and Shawn Barthelemy (14.5 ppg) the mini team cruised to an 12-3 record and landed in the MBL finals against St-Bruno which they took 72-58 to capture the program’s first mini championship.

The bantam had a great run during the regular season finishing 17-2 earning them the second best record in the league. After a convincing win in the first round of the playoffs they were upset in the 2nd round by Wilba despite all-star season’s from Richardson Maître (16.9 ppg) and Willy Mucheni (17.9 ppg).

The midget team went undefeated during the regular season, tournaments and MBL playoffs. The finished 2008-09 with a total of 29 wins. All-stars Max Joseph (16.5 ppg) and Fred Dure (13.9 ppg) led their team to a second consecutive MBL title.

The juvenile team also played an undefeated regular season and tournament play (29-0). But injuries during the playoffs compromised the rotation and they lost to Sun Youth in the semi finals.
